Activities in Town

Between quests, the party returns to town. This is where you prepare for the next adventure. In town you can shop at merchants with !shop, buy and sell items, repair damaged equipment, craft items from materials, and search for loot with !search.

Your character heals over time while in town based on your VIT (Vitality) stat. Some healing and utility skills can also be used in town. When you're ready for the next adventure, make sure you're in the quest party with !join.

Questing Outside of Town

When a quest begins, the party travels to different locations across the map, encountering enemies along the way — earning XP, gold, and item drops from victories.

Quests can lead through multiple locations, with increasingly tough enemies. If the party is strong enough, a boss fight may await at the final destination. Completing quests is the primary way to level up, earn gold, and find rare equipment.

If things go badly, the party may attempt to flee — escape chance depends on your party's stats versus the enemies. Players who fall in battle can be revived by healers or will recover when the party returns to town.

Progression

Characters progress through class tiers as they level up. At level 5, choose your guild. Your class automatically advances at level 20. At level 40, you choose whether to advance to the highest tier of your guild or to multi-class by joining a secondary guild instead.

Any player can attempt to use skills from any class, but your guild membership gives you a much higher proficiency bonus for that guild's skills. Multi-classing gives you a proficiency bonus in a second guild's skills, though at a reduced rate compared to your primary.

Skill success is calculated as your skill proficiency plus your player level plus your class bonus.
